The weekend of October 13th and 14th saw the 2001 Steam Gala at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway at Toddington. Cotswold Steam Preservation put on their usual enthusiastic performance and this year, although 2807 was not on display, nobody visiting the Gala could miss the large sales stand near the entrance.
Visitors were left in no doubt that Cotswold Steam Preservation is committed to the restoration of 2807 to operational condition.
June 9th was designated a celebration of 50 Years of Railway Preservation at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway's Toddington base. To mark the occasion, 2807 was moved from it's usual place in the station yard to the line leading to the bay platform for public display.
The sales stand was set up along with display boards next to the loco, and visitors were told about progress on the locomotive and plans for the future.
At the end of a long day the shunter re-appeared and 2807 was moved back to her place in the yard.
As with previous moves, the process was uneventful and again proved that 2807's chassis is in working order.
